Arabic Translators

The frequency of multilingual meetings and events continues to increase as businesses and organizations add employees, customers, and partners around the world. Meetings and events are more engaging and inclusive when everyone speaks the same language, but that is not always possible. Human interpreters and translators are an option, but the high cost and logistical complexity limits their use to big budget events and organizations.

Wordly solves the multilingual collaboration problem with a proven, high quality, highly scalable AI-powered translation platform which provides simultaneous interpretation into Arabic and dozens of other languages. Speakers and attendees each select their preferred language at the start of the session - selecting from live translated captions or audio - and using their mobile phone, tablet, or computer. Offering translation services is a great way to increase engagement, productivity, and inclusivity.

Arabic Language History

What is the History of the Arabic language?
The Arabic language, a member of the Semitic language family, has a history that spans more than a millennium. It has had a profound influence on many other languages and cultures. Its history is deeply tied to the rise of Islam, the spread of empires, and the global exchange of ideas.

  • Old Arabic: The earliest form of Arabic can be traced back to the 5th century CE. Old Arabic was used by the Bedouins of the Arabian Peninsula, and it was primarily a spoken language. The language of the Qur'an, revealed in the 7th century, is considered to be a key point in the development of Classical Arabic.
  • Classical Arabic: During the early Islamic period, from the 7th to the 13th centuries, Arabic evolved into its classical form, which is still used today in formal settings and literary contexts. Classical Arabic became the language of scholarship, science, religion, and administration throughout the Islamic Empire. Classical Arabic is also the foundation for modern dialects and standard forms of the language.
  • Medieval Arabic: Between the 10th and 15th centuries, Arabic continued to develop. Arabic became the language of intellectual exchange, with scholars translating and preserving the works of ancient Greeks, Romans, and Indians. The Arabic spoken by everyday people began to diverge into regional dialects, influenced by local languages and cultures.
  • Modern Standard Arabic (MSA): The late 19th and early 20th centuries saw significant reforms in the Arabic language. Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) emerged as the standardized form of the language, with influences from Western languages and modern developments. MSA became the language of education, media, and formal communication across the Arab world.
  • Contemporary Arabic: Today, Arabic is spoken by over 400 million people across the Middle East and North Africa. It is one of the six official languages of the United Nations and continues to be a key language in the fields of religion, science, and international diplomacy.
